Application Management Scheduled Tasks

From Syntaro Help

No agent is running on the device. The Scheduled tasks are executed automatically trough the Syntaro Dummy MSI Packages. Additionally there are some triggers in the night which will check the configuration, remediate or update packages.

Since 1805 we have three tasks which are configured:

Syntaro Full Installer

Recurrence: Every Monday at 00:00. If the device is not running, it's executed at the next time when it's possible.

This task is used to check all installations on the system an detects missing applications compared to the assigned apps. It will also uninstall packages where the Dummy Package is no longer installed.

Syntaro Incremental Installer

Recurrence: Every Day at 00:00. If the device is not running, it's executed at the next time when it's possible.

The Incremental Installer is doing the same like the Full Installer, but it is only checking applications which have an absent or set to 0 "Processed" registry entry. This reduces the load on the devices.

Syntaro Updater

Recurrence: Every Monday at 02:00. If the device is not running, it's executed at the next time when it's possible.

This task is checking the repositories for updates of the packages and if there are any installs them.
